CAUTION: MAKE SURE TUBING IS CUT AT A CLEAN 90 DEGREE ANGLE

STEP FIVE: OPERATION

A. Reinstall the fuse in the fuse holder.

B. Push top button to inflate shocks, and bottom button to deflate shocks. NOTE – Do NOT apply air to the shocks with the bike on the jack and the shocks extended. Shocks must be fully compressed under the weight of the bike before applying air.

C. Check tire to fender clearance when shocks are fully compressed.

D. Sit rider and load intend on carrying (passenger and luggage) on the motorcycle. Add air to the system until the motorcycle stops raising. Slowly release air until the motorcycle lowers approximately 1 inch. Make small adjustments until the desired ride quality is achieved. NOTE – It takes longer to inflate the system than it does to deflate. If you feel the suspension is harsh it might it might not have enough air in it.

E. Adjust rebound (Applicable to AIR-A only).

F. Rebound damping controls the speed at which the shock absorber extends after being compressed. if you feel the suspension has mushy or oscillating feel to it, increase the rebound damping to a higher number. If the suspension feels slow reacting or feels firm on closely spaced bumps, decrease the rebound damping to lower number.

G. Turn rebound adjuster to the same number on the left and right shocks, firmer or softer depending on preference and test ride again.

  1. Fine tune rebound damping: For Legend Air-A and Revo-A models. Machined recess below rebound adjuster indicates rebound setting.
  2. Setting 1: provides lowest level of rebound damping.
  3. Setting 3: provides intermediate level of rebound damping. IMPORTANT: most commonly used setting
  4. Setting 6: provides highest level of rebound damping.
  5. Machined recess on shock

WARNING:

During installation of your Legend AIR’s do not apply air to the shocks with the bike on the jack and the shocks extended. Make sure the shocks are fully compressed under the weight of the bike before applying air.

Failing to do so may cause the air springs to become rolled, resulting in a poor ride quality, air leaks, and/or damage to the shocks.
